The suede is that soft taupe that goes with basically everything, and the metal eyelets make lacing them up feel oddly satisfying. Wore them all day right out of the box with zero break-in issues. The little suede label on the tongue is a nice touch too.

I wore these derby-style lace-up boots to a gallery opening and got three compliments before I even sat down. The taupe suede has a lovely matte finish, and the metal eyelets feel sturdy rather than flimsy. They broke in after about two wears with zero blisters.
