These have become my go-to boots for work, and the covered inner zip is such a thoughtful touch, no scratching against my ankle. The calf leather looked stiff out of the box but softened up within a week.

The toe embroidery is the detail that sold me, and in person it's even sharper than the photos. Calf leather has that stiff-but-nice feel that I know will soften up after a few wears. Wore them all day the first time and no break-in blisters, which never happens for me with boots.

The inner zip makes these way easier to pull on than my old pull-strap boots, and it's hidden under the leather so it doesn't break up the clean look. The toe embroidery is the detail that sold me, subtle but still reads Western.
