The unlined suede is what sold me — it's soft enough that there was zero break-in, which never happens with boat shoes. I've been wearing them sockless on the boat and out to dinner, and they've held their shape nicely.

Wore these straight out of the box for a full day on the water and zero break-in pain, which never happens for me with boat shoes. The mocha suede has this soft, almost velvety feel and the leather lacing stays put without needing constant retying.

The unlined suede is the reason these feel so good — no break-in period at all, they just molded to my feet after one walk. The leather lacing along the side is a nice touch too, keeps the shape from getting sloppy.
