The unlined suede upper is what sold me — no break-in period at all, it just molds to my foot. I've been wearing them sockless on the boat all weekend and the leather lacing hasn't slipped once.

Wore these straight out of the box for a full day on the water and zero break-in blisters, which never happens for me. The leather lacing stays tied better than the rawhide cords I've had on other pairs.

The suede upper is unlined, so they feel broken-in from day one instead of stiff like other boat shoes I've owned. The leather lacing stays tied without me having to double-knot it, which is a small thing but I notice it every time.
